risking it all for the fire in my soul to

adventure

hiya, I’m Ally! and I am SO excited that you’re here

whether you’re looking to travel with me or seeking inspiration from my favorite stays across the country (coming soon!), I hope you exit out of this website ready to jump into the outdoors and seek adventure

I tried following a conventional path after graduating from penn state, and thought I had it all—the snazzy consulting job, the unique historic loft apartment, the shiny new car to get me to client sites and back to the beach, and the best friends surrounding me. yet, I felt stuck. in 2020, the world hit pause, and everything shifted for me. I decided it was the perfect time to drive across the country—and I made memories I’ll never forget

nearing the end of what I thought was a once-in-a-lifetime trip, I met a guy on Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga who asked, “so tell me, what’s your story?” I had nothing to say… and that moment changed so much. ever since, I’ve been living a story worth telling, risking it all for the fire in my soul to adventure. I have been traveling around the country, embracing spontaneity to make the most of every experience in front of me

I now have a home base in my favorite beach town in Maryland, a remote job in M&A that lets me be anywhere in the US, a 4Runner built for the road less traveled, and an unshakable pull to see and do it all. life is best lived in community, so I make every effort to connect with others and build badass girlie adventure crews on (un)explore trips through the hidden gems of this country

chase the experience. surrender to the now. live a little out of the ordinary. meet people who show you the beauty of humanity and connection. traverse the unknown. (un)explore who you are

"Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything. Maybe it's about unbecoming everything that isn't really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place"

- PAULO COELHO

  • about me

it took longer than I would like to admit to come up with an answer to “so tell me, what’s your story?” I realized that my story isn’t one that needs to be figured out, but rather is something that is written by me fully living each and every day

  • about (un)explore

what started as an idea to offer a way for people to do the things that I did without having to figure out the whole “solo travel” thing turned into a side hustle… (un)explore is a way to do epic shit in the lesser known parts of the country with an epic group of girlies

  • about boujee to boondockin'

I have spent years traveling the US, but I don’t live in a van - I bounce from boujee airbnb stays to boondockin’ in my 4Runner to fully experience the best of what this country has to offer. I get down and dirty… followed by a hot shower and sleep with a silk pillowcase
